Evaluation Criteria

Students and choral leaders of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply for scholarships. Diverse perspectives and accessible participation at our Conference is a key part of Chorus America’s ongoing commitment to access, diversity, equity, and inclusion in the choral field.

Diverse backgrounds can refer to race, ethnicity, age, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, physical ability, nationality, language, religious beliefs, socioeconomic background, and other components of identity, as well as intersections thereof.

Applications will be evaluated based on the thoughtfulness of the responses and potential for the scholarship to make a lasting impact in the applicant’s career and/or choral community. Applicants may apply for multiple scholarships but will receive no more than one award. Scholarship recipients are selected on a competitive basis.
