In this pre-conference session, Decolonizing the Music Room Founder and Executive Director, Brandi Waller Pace, and Educational Content Co-Creator, Dr. Christopher Mena, will present foundational vocabulary and concepts relevant to an antiracist framework in choral music education and explore common detours within equity work. Attendees will discuss how to apply this knowledge to partnerships with schools, communities, and their choirs and develop strategies to deepen their implementation of antiracist principles and overcome commonly encountered obstacles along the way.

In-Depth Seminars are separately ticketed events for a $100 fee.
