Application Deadline and Requirements

The deadline to submit an application is Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11:59PM ET.

A complete application includes:  

  • Narrative Questions Responses to the Dale Warland Singers Commission Grant application, which includes 4 questions about your chorus, the composer, and the commission
  • Work Samples
    • A representative score by the proposed composer. A second representative score is permitted, but only one is required.
    • A representative recording (acceptable formats: avi, mp4, mov, wav, mp3, YouTube links, Vimeo links) of the chorus clearly labeled with the chorus name. Up to two recordings are permitted, but only one is required.
    • A track listing for the submitted recording that includes title, composer, and timing of each piece. You may use this template, if helpful.
  • And the following attachments:
    • All applicants A project budget for the project period (up to 2 years). As a convenience, Chorus America provides this budget template, but you are not required to submit your budget in this format and you may use your own working document or format, if already created.
    • All applicants Documentation of your organization’s tax-exempt status (US-501(c)3 tax exempt letter or CRA Canadian Registered Charity documentation).
    • All applicants A letter of commitment from the composer
    • For fiscally sponsored projects ONLY Submit a copy of your fiscal sponsorship agreement.
