Conference 2019

2019 Conference in Philadelphia

The 2019 Philadelphia Conference brought together choral leaders from across North America for sessions, networking events, concerts, special events, and much more.

Plenaries included Marketplace host Kai Ryssdal in conversation with Eddie Torres of Grantmakers in the Arts and Mara Walker of Americans for the Arts about arts funding and social impact, and musician and educator Stanford Thompson on the arts as a tool for positive personal and community change.

Throughout the Conference, breakout sessions featured new ideas for programming, audience and board development, navigating transitions, and much more. Visit the schedule pages on our website to access any materials and handouts made available by our presenters.

Inspiring Performances

Hosted by the Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia, the 2019 Conference featured performances showcasing Philadelphia's diverse choral community - also celebrated in the Philly Sings! video that premiered the first day of the Conference.

Thank you!

This year’s Conference would not have been possible without the generous support of our host the Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia and our sponsors—especially lead Conference sponsor ACFEA Tour Consultants. We are so grateful to all the speakers, performers, donors, exhibitors, volunteers, and partner organizations for making the 2019 Conference a success.
