The music of Poland's leading Renaissance composers reveal much about the important relationship between Poland and Italy during the sixteenth century, and the striking influence imported Italian culture had on Polish artists of the time.  Mikołaj Zieleński, most notably, may have even studied with Giovanni Gabrieli; his choral works display typical Venetian influence, but with a sound that is, perhaps, somehow still Polish.  Looking for a double-choir-blowout alternative to the traditional San Marco repertoire? Look no further than Zieleński…and his compatriot Rohaczewski!
