Where Do We Go from Here? Navigating the Psychological Aspects of Reopening

After a year filled with many challenges and new ways of interacting, choral leaders are uniquely positioned to help singers and communities navigate the social, emotional, and psychological aspects of returning to work and in-person engagements. Are we ready?

Elizabeth Núñez and Francisco J. Núñez will join with psychiatrist Deborah Cabaniss and adolescent specialist David Bell to discuss how chorus conductors and administrators can support singers, staff and our extended communities as they find their way back into inclusive and creative spaces. Using data points and experiences from adult and youth community choruses, we will discuss the impact of the last year’s events and take a look at how our communities can adapt moving forward.
