Chorus America’s 36th Annual Conference kicks off with a conversation with celebrated composer Morten Lauridsen. In a discussion with Karen Thomas, you’ll hear what has influenced his  compositions, many of which were written on an island not far from Seattle.In 2006, Mr. Lauridsen was named an “American Choral Master” by the National Endowment for the Arts and, in 2007, he was the recipient of the National Medal of Arts from the President in a White House ceremony.The session will include The Esoterics performing one of Mr. Lauridsen’s compositions.
