In response to growing community needs and the increasingly compelling body of research that shows the health and social benefits of singing for seniors, more choral organizations are starting programs for older singers. Although still relatively new, the positive results achieved by these programs are gaining the attention of a range of potential partners and funders. Attend this session to hear how the Larimer Chorale of Fort Collins, Colorado—the 2013 winner of Chorus America’s Education Outreach Award—launched an attention-getting program that you could adapt for your own community.
