Jim Verrecchia

Jim Verrecchia brings with him a wealth of experience in executive leadership for non-profit organizations, as well as a background in the fields of music, ministry, and education.  Born and raised in Philadelphia PA, Jim had his first connection to music as a Church organist in the Philadelphia area.  Music and choir leadership continued through his seminary formation years in college and graduate school.  Jim has an extensive career and experience in Church administration and nonprofit communities.  After serving in ministry for 17 years, he married and transitioned to be a Parish Administrator for an Episcopal congregation in Sandy Springs, GA. Following this role, Jim worked with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Georgia, serving as the Director of Support Programs, Director of Operations and later as the Director of Development. After leaving St. Vincent de Paul, Jim began consulting work and served as a Fundraising/ Development Consultant with the Atlanta Community Food Bank, where he designed a pilot program in Grant writing and Logic Model Creation.  Jim has done Grant writing presentations to partner agencies at the Atlanta Community Food Bank and the Georgia Mountain Food Bank in Gainesville. 

Following an interim role as Executive Director of the Cobb Community Alliance to Prevent Substance Abuse, Jim became the Executive Director of Atlanta Master Chorale in 2017.  During his tenure, Atlanta Master Chorale has expanded its awareness, outreach and impact and currently enjoys a global audience.  Jim is thrilled to be serving the chorus and organization and utilizing his talents and skills. He hopes to steer Atlanta Master Chorale to even greater heights as a nationally recognized choral ensemble.

Jim and his wife Nancy have six children and have lived in Cobb County, Georgia since 2000.
