Today’s audiences have a variety of arts and entertainment options, both live and digital, right at their fingertips. How can you make your chorus their first choice? The opening plenary session of Chorus America’s 2014 Annual Conference will grapple with this question as leading conductor Josh Habermann interviews Deke Sharon, who grew up singing in a traditional boy choir, and today is responsible for the sound of modern a cappella singing (as producer of “The Sing-Off," a prolific arranger, and the on-site music director and vocal producer for Universal's "Pitch Perfect"). Josh and Deke are long-time friends, so Josh is poised to ask great questions about Deke’s experience producing award-winning albums (Straight No Chaser, Committed, Nota, Street Corner Symphony, the Beelzebubs) and much more that will shed light on how to make choruses cool(er).
