Anisa Adkins

Anisa Adkins is a native of Dover, Delaware and comes from a family of musicians. She graduated from Dover High School in 2013 and later graduated summa cum laude from Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey where she earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Vocal Music and Education in 2018. Immediately following her graduation, Anisa taught elementary school general music for six years in the Caesar Rodney School District of Camden, Delaware.  

In addition to her public-school teaching, Anisa directed the Mighty Men of Song of Calvary Baptist Church in Dover, Delaware for six years and taught private lessons for beginner voice and piano students at a variety of ages. Anisa is currently a Teaching Assistant at The Pennsylvania State University, where she is pursuing a Master of Music Education degree.  

Outside of school and work, Anisa’s hobbies include reading, dancing, and watching YouTube videos. She currently lives in State College, Pennsylvania with her cat, Taro, who was named after her favorite flavor of bubble tea.
