Women's Choir Symposium 2017 in Los Angeles (June 20/21)

Announcing a symposium for conductors of women’s choirs in June 2017.  As part of Elektra Women’s Choir’s 30th Anniversary celebrations next season and Los Angeles-based VOX Femina’s 20th, Elektra and VOX are collaborating to co-host a symposium for conductors of women’s choirs.  Meeting by chance at conferences and festivals, we never quite have the time to get to know each other, and that’s the main goal of our “Women’s Choir Symposium 2017”.  Please join us in Los Angeles June 20 and 21, 2017, just prior to the Chorus America Annual Conference, for what we think might be a “first-ever!”  Our planning model is simple: keep it casual, interactive, and affordable.  We are not booking any “headliners” but instead we will share our collective knowledge and experience through interactive sessions.  Based in LA, VOX Femina will perform and serve as a lab choir.

Online registration runs February 1 to April 15, 2017.

Please forward this information to conductors of women’s choirs in your community. Thank you!

PS. While we love children’s choirs and the people who conduct them, this event is intended for conductors of changed female voices, from senior high and up.  We’re happy to send handouts to others.  Just ask!
