Episode 4: Four professional choral musicians have a lively discussion about making it as paid choral artists in New York City:

Nancy Wertsch is a choral contractor, singer and composer who has contracted for the Bard Festival, the Verbier Festival under the baton of James Levine, the New York Virtuoso singers under the baton of Harold Rosenbaum and more.

Mukund and Mary Marathe had very long associations with the Gregg Smith Singers and many other professional choruses in New York.

Roosevelt Credit was featured as a “Fisherman” in the 2012 Tony Award Winning and Grammy Nominated Production of The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess on Broadway. 



Together they share what skills have been necessary to get work, and how to survive when the “gigs” are far and few between. Their stories are fascinating and inspirational to every singer trying to make it in a big city
