Pacific Boychoir’s Kevin Fox Joins Classical Movements as Artistic Advisor

Classical Movements is delighted to announce that Kevin Fox, distinguished choral conductor and esteemed music educator, will join the staff in January 2017—in a newly minted Artistic Advisor role. Mr. Fox brings his wealth of experience and expertise to Classical Movements’ many and widely varied ventures in the international choral music scene.

"Having done 14 tours to six continents with the Pacific Boychoir and Classical Movements,” says Mr. Fox, “I have come to know and respect Classical Movements’ high standards for music and touring. I am looking forward to working on both the exciting choral projects and the life-changing cultural outreach they have coming up."

In addition to his general advisory work, Mr. Fox will prove an invaluable aid to Classical Movements’ large-scale projects over the next two seasons, including the 2017 Serenade! Washington DC Choral Festival. A partnership with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts commemorating the centennial of JFK’s birth, Serenade! will feature some 20 choirs from around the world.

In 2018, Classical Movements will celebrate the centennial of another monumental figure’s birth—Nelson Mandela—with its 10th annual Ihlombe! South African Choral Festival.

In his 20 years as the Founding Artistic Director of the Pacific Boychoir Academy, Mr. Fox and Classical Movements have built a solid professional and personal relationship. Now, the company is proud to announce this more formal partnership.
