Kantorei is pleased to welcome three new members to its board of directors, appointed in July 2020.

Judy Bloomberg Schenkein is a pediatrician in Castle Rock, CO and has served on the boards of Speaking of Dance, a local non-profit dance company; The Children's Hospital of Colorado; and the American Jewish Committee. “Music can be used to bring disparate communities together, as universal as music is to every human culture. I am eager to become part of the Kantorei community, bringing joy & exaltation & community & connection to ever-growing audiences.”

Leslie Britton started the Denver Children’s Choir in 1996 and led DCC as Artistic Director and Co-Executive Director prior to her retirement this season. Prior to moving to Denver in 1992, Leslie worked for the Chicago Children’s Choir as conductor and Music Director. “Over and over again I have witnessed firsthand the positive impact that choral music can have for singers and audiences regardless of their background and experience.”

J. Scott Pusey is active in the community with past experience as an Executive Partner with Center for Education on Social Responsibility, University of Colorado, Leeds School of Business, where he mentored business school students. He also currently serves as Vice Chair on the board of directors of Laradon Society, an eminent Denver non-profit organization that was founded in 1948 and provides services to children and adults with intellectual, developmental and other disabilities. Scott has been a faithful fan of Kantorei for many years.
