The New Arizona Women's Chorus Commission

Recently forming a new 501(C)3 after being under the umbrella of the Arizona Choral Arts Association for many years, the new Arizona Women's Chorus (conducted by Terrie Ashbaugh)  commissioned composer Mark Hayes to write a piece that speaks to the importance of singing and finding rest, peace, and inspiration in the midst of challenge, and to inspire hope for better days to come.  This past May, the chorus was proud to perform the premiere of "As We Sing We Live" with Mr. Hayes and lyricist Lollie Butler in the audience.
