Bucks County Choral Society Issues Christmas CD

Bucks County Choral Society and artistic director Thomas Lloyd have released “Sing We Now of Christmas”, a compact disc collection of highlights from BCCS Christmas concerts from 2005 – 2011. The recording includes an array of seasonal favorites performed by the Choral Society and several guests, including the Tommy Shead Memorial Bell Choir of Doylestown United Methodist Church (Diana Durbin, director), harpist Virginia Flanagan, and BCCS accompanist Beth Manus (piano and organ).

The Christmas collection includes music from Elizabeth Posten, John Rutter, Benjamin Britten, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Norman Luboff, William Walton and more.

“The annual Christmas concerts of the Bucks County Choral Society have held a special place in our community for the past thirty-five years,” notes Lloyd. “We hope this album helps to ‘make your season bright’, and encourages you to come back each year to hear the choir live, as we continue this vibrant community tradition.”

“Sing We Now of Christmas” can be purchased at Bucks County Choral Society’s upcoming Christmas concerts at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Doylestown, or online at the BCCS website - http://www.buckschoral.org/support-bccs_CDinfo.pl?recording_id=10.
