The Leadership Development Forum (LDF) is an affinity group made up of the administrative leaders of the largest-budget choruses within Chorus America's membership, currently budgets above $1 million annually. In-person meetings are typically held twice a year: a longer stand-alone meeting during the winter months and a shorter meeting during Chorus America’s Conference. Video meetings are convened for special topics and time-sensitive issues as needed, and members also make use of a private group in Chorus America’s Online Community.
LDF is a vibrant learning community that supports the professional development of its participants and the advancement of their organizations in order to benefit the broader choral field.
Purposes of LDF
- Network in meaningful ways with Chorus America staff and peers at choral organizations of a similar budget size to share unique concerns, issues, and ideas.
- Provide a welcoming, curated space to foster social relationships between colleagues, and to offer opportunities to seek advice and to find and provide peer mentorship.
- Receive targeted professional development during LDF programming and through support from Chorus America
- Learn about the benefits of Chorus America membership for yourself and extend those benefits throughout your organization to your staff and board
- Support the Chorus America community by sharing your expertise in program and networking spaces
- Support Chorus America initiatives that align with your organization’s values and move the choral field forward
