Breakout Session

This introduction to important concepts about Jewish liturgy and practice (including why Chanukah is a minor holiday), as well as core repertoire and reference materials, will leave participants feeling more comfortable programming works in Hebrew and/or on Jewish themes. An essential part of the session is the "world's fastest Hebrew crash course for choral conductors," which will give conductors a taste of several dozen key words that they are likely to encounter when programming repertoire in Hebrew.
