Joshua Velez

Pianist, conductor, organist, and educator, Joshua Velez comfortably commands repertoire spanning genres from classical music to musical theatre, gospel, jazz, sacred music, musical improv, and beyond.  Through his pursuits in collaborative music-making, he strives to grant listeners the opportunity to see themselves reflected in the music they hear so that they can authentically participate in a co-creative process.  Joshua earned a Bachelor of Music and Certificate in Worship Arts from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, where his teachers and mentors included Daniel Paul Horn, Donté Ford, John Trotter, Mary Hopper, and Jerry Blackstone.
