Rev. Julia Sheetz

Rev. Julia Sheetz, Ph.D., is ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and serves as associate director of campus ministry for ecumenical and interfaith outreach; she also teaches in the department of theology and religious studies and serves as a facilitator in the intergroup dialogue program. Prior to coming to Villanova, she was director of programs for the dialogue institute at Temple University; she also has served as a pastor in churches in upstate New York, New Jersey, and suburban Philadelphia. A graduate of Earlham College, Julie holds an M.Div. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, a Th.M. from Harvard Divinity School, and a Ph.D. in religion and society from Temple University, where her dissertation focused on Presbyterian Church (USA) debates over LGBT inclusion. Julie loves singing with ANNA Crusis, paddling on a dragon boat team, and being a parent to adult children Isaac, Jacob and Jessie. Julie uses she/her pronouns.
