e-Chorus Management Institute

The e-Chorus Management Institute (e-CMI) delivers the CMI’s wealth of information and hands-on approach in a convenient online format. Based on the popular live programs Chorus America has run for 10 years, each multi-week virtual series helps chorus leaders master a core subject necessary to succeed in chorus management.

Modules

Governance - Postponed!
This module offers a strategic approach to effective governance, beginning with a discussion of the key governance responsibilities of a nonprofit board and what characteristics to look for in potential board members. Participants will learn the basic steps to building an effective board, and finish the series equipped with specific board development strategies. We are postponing the launch of our e-CMI Governance Module, planned for Fall 2017. Stay tuned for more information about offerings around the topics of governance and boards.

Fundraising
This module examines the foundation of building a comprehensive fundraising program, including setting annual fundraising goals and creating an effective written fundraising plan. Participants will learn the importance of the individual donor in the fundraising process and tips for individual donor prospecting, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding.

Marketing and Communications
This module focuses on the fundamentals of marketing and communications. Three sessions cover topics including branding, online promotion, audience development, social media, and building a final marketing plan.
