Benjamin Lebovitz

Benjamin Lebovitz has taught choir at Walden Grove High School in Sahuarita, Arizona for seven years. Students and ensembles under Mr. Lebovitz’s direction perform regularly in local, state and national competition, and are frequent community collaborators.

A member of the Arizona Music Educators Association, he has served as both festival chair and clinician, most recently as Arizona's 2021 Junior High All State Choir director. He has also served as the Repertoire and Resources Chair for Contemporary and Commercial Music within the Arizona chapter of the American Choral Directors Association, extending experience working with secondary and collegiate a cappella ensembles with reading and interest sessions as well as arranging workshops at state and regional music education conferences.

Mr. Lebovitz is a proud advocate of public education, germinating from his K-12 and collegiate education in public schools. He received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Arizona, a Master of Education from Northern Arizona University, and will begin doctoral studies this fall at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
