Marge Ostroushko

In her 25 years as a radio and events producer, Marge Ostroushko has lent her talents to some of public radio's most loved shows, including A Prairie Home Companion, This American Life, and Speaking of Faith. She has won three Peabody Awards, for Mississippi: River of Song, A Prairie Home Companion, and The Promised Land with Majora Carter, in addition to countless other honors.

Currently, Marge works as the station relations manager for This American Life, and is the marketing director and strategist for numerous other national public radio programs. In addition to her broadcast work, Marge has produced many live events for public radio and others arts organizations.

Marge and Giving Voice co-founder Mary Lenard were struck by recent discoveries about the powerful effects of music on the lives of people with dementia. They both had cared for parents with dementia and felt a call to contribute their experiences and their energy to building a new program that allowed people with dementia and their care partners to live better—with joy, with purpose, with friends, and with each other. The result was Giving Voice Chorus, founded in the fall of 2014.
