Sara Zanussi

A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Sara Zanussi holds a B.A. from Luther College, where she studied piano and voice and was an El Sistema fellow at New England Conservatory in 2013. During this year, she was a teaching assistant with Boston Children’s Chorus and spent a month-long residency in Venezuela. She was selected to participate in St. Paul Youth Academy’s Ambassadors Program in Fall 2014, and also served on the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council Community Arts grant panel for two years.

Her ensemble experience spans Chile, Tanzania, and the U.S. She was an Umoja Music School fellow and assistant program coordinator in Arusha, Tanzania in 2010, where she taught voice and piano and facilitated music classes at international and Tanzanian schools.

She has teaching experience of over 10 years with her business, Z's Keys, which won two entrepreneurial awards for her Skype lessons program. She has also had extensive youth development leadership experience through camp counseling, Upward Bound.
