Jamie Tagg

D. James Tagg (Jamie) has helped clients achieve and maintain high quality recordings for over 15 years. Jamie currently combines his passions for recording and teaching as assistant professor of recording arts at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music.

Jamie’s recordings have received multiple internationally competitive awards from the Audio Engineering Society, dozens of broadcasts on NPR and the BBC, chart-­‐ topping ratings on Billboard, iTunes, and Amazon, and several GRAMMY® nominations, stemming from work with clients in a wide variety of venues across the United States and Canada.

Jamie has engineered sessions and performances with organizations and individuals such as Seraphic Fire, Joshua Bell, Aspen Music Festival, the Danish String Quartet, the Gregg Smith Singers, Takacs String Quartet, among many others. His albums have been released through NAXOS International, Sono Luminus, Albany Records, and SFM Inc.

In addition to his production and research work, Jamie is also a member of the Audio Engineering Society, the Acoustic Society of America, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, and the American Choral Directors Association.
