Heidi Gider

Heidi is the director of advancement at the National Women's Health Network. She is responsible for board relations, individual contributions including direct marketing, events, and long-term planning. The Network seeks to improve the health of all women by developing and promoting a critical analysis of health issues. A seasoned resource development professional, Heidi previously worked at Equal Rights Advocates in San Francisco, as well as the Society for Women’s Health Research, and the Legal Aid Society in DC. She is a senior consultant in a DC-based firm, The Rainmakers Group, which provides development services to small-to-mid-size nonprofit organizations. Past clients include Healthy Living, Inc., National Veterans Legal Services Program, and the Multi-State Filer Project. She has presented to the Center for Nonprofit Success in San Francisco and DC, Direct Marketing Association in New York, Merrill Lynch, and most recently, the 2013 Bridge to Integrated Marketing & Fundraising Conference.  She is the board chair of Consumers for a Responsive Legal System (Responsive Law), a national nonprofit organization working to make the legal system more affordable, accessible, and accountable to the people it is meant to serve. Since 2011, she has served as a mentor to a protégé through the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and a Notary Public in DC. A native of the Hudson Valley, Heidi earned a BA in political studies from Bard College, completing her degree in three years.
