Kate Munger

Kate Munger has been passionate about community singing since she was 8 years old at Girl Scout Camp. Today at 63, she is founder and creative director of the Threshold Choirs, an international community of singers in more than 110 choirs worldwide who bring their voices in service to the bedsides of people who are dying, people in comas, and children in hospital. The Threshold Choirs also work with folks who are grieving and women who are incarcerated. Munger believes that grief and isolation often walk hand in hand and those who sing together share an ancient tribal sense of belonging and invite the presence of the sacred into their hearts.
