Tim Brunelle

Since 1992, Tim Brunelle has been at the forefront of marketing innovation and storytelling. He has developed brand strategy, directed films, written and directed advertising and design as well as user experience for marketers including PwC, Harley-Davidson, Goodyear, Porsche, Anheuser-Busch, 3M, Sears, Ameriprise and MetLife, including nine years helping lead Volkswagen’s “Drivers wanted” campaign in North America. He has worked for agencies including Crispin Porter Bogusky, Carmichael Lynch, Ogilvy, Arnold, McKinney, and TBWA. In 2007 he co-founded the agency Hello Viking and continues to serve as its CEO. He is co-owner and creative director of BannerPalooza, the online banner ad production shop and is a partner in the marketing software firm Curation Station. His writing and creative direction have been awarded the One Show Interactive Best of Show, several Gold Pencils and was recognized by the One Club as a hallmark of “The First Decade of Interactive Advertising.” Other awards include the Grand Clio, Cannes Grand Prix, the Grand Andy, London International Advertising Awards Grand Prize for Websites, D&AD Featured, AICP Finalist and inclusion in three Communication Arts Interactive Annuals. He currently serves as president of the board of the 1,200+ member Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association, the oldest association of its kind in the country. He also developed and taught the “Future of Advertising” course at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and founded the Conversations About The Future Of Advertising (CATFOA) speaker-series, now in its fifth season. Tim has also played drums in a bunch of different bands, mostly in Boston.
