Mark Ohnmacht

Mark Ohnmacht is the Principal Agent for Performing Arts Consultation Services, providing consulting services in fundraising, board development and strategic development to performing arts ensembles. His two current principal appointments include work as Development Director of Washington Concert Opera, and development consultant to the Washington Master Chorale.

His list of consulting clients includes Cantate Chamber Singers (MD), The Canticle Singers of Baltimore, The Children’s Chorus of Washington, The Choral Arts Society of Washington, Eclipse Chamber Orchestra, The In Series, Masterworks Chorus of the Shenandoah Valley (VA), The National Philharmonic (MD), The Santa Clara Chorale (CA), The Susquehanna Chorale (PA), UrbanArias, Washington Stage Guild, and Women’s Voices Chorus (NC).

His past professional positions include a ten-year stint as executive director of the Cathedral Choral Society, the resident symphonic chorus of Washington National Cathedral; executive director of the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra in Northern Virginia; general manager of the Nassau Symphony Orchestra in Garden City, New York; executive director of the Contemporary Music Forum (in residence at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC); and general manager of the Prince George’s Philharmonic (MD).

Mr. Ohnmacht is also an active professional musician and for the last twenty-two years has served as the Organist/Choir Director at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Arlington, Virginia.
