Balancing Act: Fulfilling All Aspects of Your Mission

Session Type

Breakout Session

Many choruses have dual missions such as producing excellent concerts and offering meaningful community engagement programs. In the case of the Boston Children’s Chorus, the mission is the integration of intensive choral training that leads to high-quality, high-profile choral performances and uniting Boston’s diverse communities to inspire social change. BCC’s artistic director and executive director will share the process they are working through now to ensure the right balance between these two important aspects of their mission. You’ll come away knowing what questions to ask about how your own organization handles the allocation of time, attention, money and other often-scarce resources needed to truly fulfill your chorus’s mission.
