The NEW JERSEY CHORAL SOCIETY (based in Ridgewood, NJ) is an award-winning and prestigious choral group, well-known for presenting outstanding and unique programs. This ensemble of auditioned singers from around the tri-state area has performed locally and internationally for 40 years. As a successful and growing non-profit, it is seeking a Chorus Administrator to assist with daily operations.
The Chorus Administrator will be responsible for supporting functions and handling tasks associated with membership and membership recruiting, concert production, marketing, grant administration, and donor relations. Some light bookkeeping is also required.
Qualified candidates must be detail oriented self-starters who possess great follow-up and communications skills (oral and written). A working knowledge of Word and Excel are a must. Experience with QuickBooks and various social media platforms (such as Facebook and Instagram) is preferred. Prior arts experience is a plus but is not required.
The Chorus Administrator will work an average of 20 flexible hours per week primarily from home. The number of hours per week will vary based on the needs of the organization and some weekends and evenings are required for supporting performances, fundraisers, and attending monthly Board meetings. The position will pay $1,625 per month.
