New Choral Performance Models for Young People

What does a successful vocal music experience for young people look like? For the singers in Denver’s Vocal COaltion and Minneapolis’s VocalEssence Singers Of This Age, it looks like collaborating with artists from local bands and hip-hop groups, singing with an ensemble that reflects the diversity of its community, and experiencing the community building capacity of group singing. Representatives from each program will share more about these new models for choral performance - and why building strong relationships between people who experience culture differently is key to their success.
