Haydn’s masterpiece presented in this Alice Parker (1973) translation now becomes a “popular oratorio” for English speaking audiences as well.  No musical knowledge is necessary to delight in the simple folk song melodies, and vivid orchestral tone painting. Soprano Dana Lynne Varga has established herself as a dynamic interpreter of a wide variety of repertoire on opera and concert stages, praised for her “stunning voice” and “soprano of impressive scale…” Tenor Gregory Zavracky is also a frequent performer on opera, concert and recital stages.  Adjectives used for his voice include “clarion tone” and “glowing intensity”. An accomplished singer on both the operatic and concert stage, John Salvi’s clear and agile baritone voice has been hailed as “stentorian” by many and has been heard extensively throughout the Northeast United States, Washington, D.C. and Montreal Canada.

Tickets may be purchased from www.AVMsingers.org or at the venue the afternoon of the concert. The price is $25.00 and $20.00 for seniors and students.
