The Voice of Chorus America quarterly magazine
An important resource, The Voice of Chorus America allows choruses and leaders in the choral community to stay current through in-depth interviews and profiles, news and announcements, and opinion and commentary. With feature articles on board leadership strategies, successful marketing and fundraising techniques, audience development tips, and advice from artistic leaders, the Voice is an important resource chorus leaders can use again and again.

eVoice
The monthly electronic newsletter, eVoice, brings timely announcements, links to important sources of new research and information, training program updates, and relevant tools into the inboxes of the choral community.

Publications
Chorus America produces useful publications such as Leading the Successful Chorus, a chorus management guide that includes countless practical tips and answers the most frequently asked questions about running a successful chorus.

Training and Professional Development
Administrators, board members, conductors, and others benefit from Chorus America training programs. The Chorus Management Institute, held periodically in cities around the country, is an interactive three-day workshop that guides chorus executives and board members in areas concerning fundraising, board development, marketing, leadership transitions, and strategic planning. The Conducting Workshops and Masterclasses are training opportunities for the continuing professional development of professional choral conductors, including podium time working one-on-one with experienced master teachers.

Online Seminars
Chorus America is currently developing a series of in-depth online seminars that will be made available to chorus leaders electronically. We are the first among national arts service organizations to offer this web-based opportunity for professional development on demand. The first series will be launched in April 2006 and will focus on artistic leadership transitions, which are critical in the life of any nonprofit. More information will be available soon.

Awards
Chorus America’s awards program recognizes outstanding choruses and individuals for their leadership and excellence in many areas, including artistic growth, creative and adventurous programming, community outreach, selfless service, and generous philanthropy.

Advocacy
Chorus America actively participates with a consortium of other influential organizations to ensure that choral music is well represented in national arts advocacy efforts. For example, Chorus America’s President and CEO, Ann Meier Baker, is Co-Chair of the 2008 National Performing Arts Convention in Denver, Colorado.

Conference
The Annual Conference, held in a different city each year, offers seminars, workshops, concerts, expert consultations, peer-group meetings, and networking opportunities.

Resource Center and Members-Only Website
The Resource Center is full of samples, tips, tools, advice, and information choruses can put to immediate use; the members-only website is updated regularly with surveys articles and reports.

Research
Chorus America conducts original research that provides choruses with data they need to make important decisions. Some recent examples are: the Choral Conductor Survey, which is the largest survey of choral conductors ever done and resulted in a deeper understanding of the lives and needs of choral conductors; the Chorus Impact Study, which is the first study of its kind to identify the scope of choral participation, public attitudes about choral music, and key motivations and behaviors of choral participants; and the annual Choral Survey Report on Practices of the Choral Field.
