Karyn Castro

Programs and Membership Manager

A lifelong choral music enthusiast, Karyn has a background in both the choral arts and arts management. In her role at Chorus America, she oversees member renewals and inquiries, and is an integral part of the programs team that implements Chorus America's programs, such as Conference, the ADEI Learning Lab, and Online Chorus Management Institute. Previously, she has worked for Chorus Connection, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in the Government Relations & Protocol department, as a conference coordinator at American University, and was the first administrative employee for two choirs in Hawai‘i, the Windward Choral Society and Kona Choral Society. Karyn received a master of arts in arts management from American University and bachelor of arts in music from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. She sings as often as her schedule allows, in DC with choirs like the 18th Street Singers and Artifice, and in Hawai‘i with the Nā Wai Chamber Choir.
