A Cappella Conducting Masterclass Friday, October 5 through Monday, October 8, 2007 Chorus America continues its series of highly successful professional development programs for conductors by collaborating with VocalEssence and St. Olaf College. The program will provide conductors with intensive conducting sessions, focused enrichment sessions, interactions with master conductors, and valuable networking forums. In addition, selected Conducting Fellows will have at least an hour of podium time working with a fully prepared professional chorus, under the tutelage of master conductors.
Private Lessons for Conducting Associates: Conducting Associates will be scheduled for a lesson with a private coach, with a topic/focus selected by each Associate, which may include a personal video review. Enrichment Sessions: All participants will attend informative enrichment sessions on essential topics for professional development. Advisor Meetings: All Fellows will be assigned to an advisor selected from the private coaches, and will meet in small groups during the Masterclass.
For more information, please contact: The Chorus America Conducting Masterclass series is supported in part by generous funding from Chorus America’s John Alexander Conducting Faculty Chair endowment and the National Endowment for the Arts. |
