Duties and responsibilities:

• Oversight of daily operations including communication with artistic director, board of directors, chorus members, donors and volunteers.

• Public relations/Marketing via email, website and other venues.

• Manage performances including venue arrangements, ticket oversight and coordinating set up and volunteer tasks.

• Writing and coordinating grants and other funding sources.

• Some evening and weekend hours required.

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experiences in non-profit or arts management.

• Flexibility in scheduling.

• Organized, efficient, professional and motivated.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Quickbooks Preferred Qualifications

• Arts management experience.

• Grant writing experience.

• Significant understanding of web applications and File Maker Pro

Chorus/organization description: Camerata Singers of Long Beach (Camerata Singers) is a well-known community-based choral organization that promotes excellence in the choral arts by bringing to its audiences and communities a broad spectrum of music performed at a high level -- including great masterworks, new, and rarely performed works -- through concerts, recitals, educational programs, and community outreach. The organization has over 35 years of musical legacy in Long Beach, the greater southern California region, and beyond. Under the direction of renown choral music expert, Dr. Jonathan Talberg, Camerata Singers is undergoing an exciting transformation. The group is growing in number of singers (professional and volunteer), budget (currently $90,000), presence and demand. Camerata Singers currently seeks a half-time experienced administrative coordinator responsible for managing and streamlining daily and seasonal operations of the choral organization.
