CHORUS AMERICA 32nd ANNUAL CONFERENCE
| Chorus America’s 32nd Annual Conference takes place in Philadelphia, June 10-13, 2009. This year—perhaps more than ever—you need to connect with colleagues who can help you navigate your organization through today’s challenging environment. We'll “phil you up” with plenty of new tools and strategies for effective management, fundraising, marketing, finance, governance, and conducting. |
Hosted by The Philadelphia Singers and music director David Hayes, the 2009 Conference offers you an exciting lineup of speakers and plenary sessions, including “Making Choruses Cool Two Minds at a Time” with Elizabeth Streb, creative choreographer and MacArthur Foundation “Genius” Award winner; “Thinking Outside the Box?” with Jim Rosenberg, innovation expert at National Arts Strategies; and “Singing and Social Change” with Bernice Johnson Reagon, founder of Sweet Honey in the Rock. Share ideas and learn from leaders in the choral field through breakout sessions, constituency meetings, and buttonholes. Round out your Conference experience by taking advantage of one of the in-depth seminars on Wednesday afternoon.
Enjoy performances by our Conference host, The Philadelphia Singers, as well as by Bucks County Choral Society, The Crossing, Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia, New Jersey Youth Chorus, The Princeton Singers, and Singing City. Network with friends and colleagues in a variety of settings—all in a welcoming, supportive environment that is a hallmark of Chorus America Conferences.

You can’t afford to go it alone during these challenging times. We look forward to seeing you in Philadelphia and can promise you’ll head back home refreshed and inspired, with valuable tools and new ideas you can apply right away.
